Editorial policy
Creative News Review aims to make clear, careful writing about creative work. Our editorial choices favour explanation and context over hype, and we distinguish what is known from what is interpretation.
Accuracy and context
We check names, terms, quotations and factual claims against appropriate material before publication. We give readers enough context to understand an example and avoid making a broad claim from a single case. Interpretation is presented as interpretation, not as settled fact.
Independence
Editorial decisions are made for the reader and the subject, not to secure a favourable mention. A contribution or commercial relationship does not guarantee coverage, a particular view or an editorial outcome.
Corrections
If a published passage is inaccurate or materially unclear, we review the concern and correct it when warranted. Readers can identify the page and passage through the Contact page. Significant corrections should be made plainly, without obscuring what changed.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid or partner material is labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. Such arrangements do not determine editorial conclusions. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when used, they should be identified clearly and should not be presented as documentary evidence.
Creative work is made in stages
The finished work is only part of the story. We pay attention to the choices, formats and collaborations that shape what reaches an audience.
