Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers see how creative work is formed, presented or encountered. Send proposals through the Contact page, with enough detail for us to judge the subject, scope and reader value.
What we welcome
We consider explanatory features, comparisons, cultural histories, process-focused essays and well-bounded guides. A strong piece has a clear subject in creative production, makes its terms understandable and offers readers a fresh way to notice a choice or process.
What to include in a pitch
Describe the central question, the main point you expect to make, the category it fits and why the subject suits Creative News Review. Mention the intended form and scope, and note any examples or materials the piece would rely on. A concise, specific proposal is more useful than a broad list of possible topics.
A note on submissions
Use the Contact page to send your proposal or ask an editorial question. Please do not send a complete draft unless it has been requested. We cannot promise publication or a particular response time, and a pitch should stand on its own without invented credentials or claims.
Creative work is made in stages
The finished work is only part of the story. We pay attention to the choices, formats and collaborations that shape what reaches an audience.
